Pump direction or airlock ?

Please help !!!!!!!!!

We have a potterton suprima 50 boiler which has been locking out so we have changed the PCB and water pump as this was grinding. Since changing pump we have loud banging from the pipes around the boiler area. This happens whenever we switch on the DHW or CH.

We have suspicions that maybe the pump has been fitted in the wrong direction or maybe the system is full of air. (System was drained to install new pump)

Please advise likely problem before we call out a plumber.

havent a clue, but call a heating engineer, not a plumber
