hi. just wondering how to determine pump overun failure. if p/overrun stat is broken i know how to test for that( getting into repairs after servicing for past year)ive heard pcb and ignition timeout also cause pump overun failure? how to test these. thanks

It all depends on the boiler!
Some older ones used a stat to provide the over run.
Later ones run the pump under the control of the PCB either for a determined time or until the flow temperature reaches a particular safe value.
Some give a fan over run, either as well as the pump or instead of the pump.
