When you say pump vent do you mean the big screw in the middle of a CH pump? Why do you want to remove it? There's nothing knackered if water comes out when you remove that, it just means that there's no air in there, which is a good thing. It's the same as if you removed the vent screw on a radiator, water comes out of that too.
