I moved into house 1 year ago and ever since when the heating/water comes on the pump makes a continous loud humming noise.
The pump is situated next to the hot water tank in the airing cupboard. It is fitted to pipes running vertically which are not causing the noise.
A p/t plumber came around and thought a low vibration pump might do the trick?
He turned the screw on the pump to change the speed but the noise continues.
Is it worth using a cleaning solution for the whole system?
The house is 10 years old, 3 bed detached. The boiler is a BAXI with a acl Lifestyle control, model no. LP241.

Sounds like the beginning of the end for your pump then.
Clipping / securing / wedging up loose pipework could help a little.

Low vibration pump

They are all low vibration till the bearings start to wear :!:
