Been told the house is around 30 yrs old so nothing new, also not sure when the patio work has been done. Spots of white efflorescence are spread quite prominent on the wall containing the back garden patio, it doesn't seem to go away (dry weather etc), and if anything looks like it got a bit worse since purchased 6 months ago. There are some other spots around the external house brickwork showing this too at the same level.
Been told by a family member the brickwork need repointing? Would this be recommended per the photos, and could this efflorescence also be an issue with the patio or below it, does that need recommended work? (damp rising up from patio through the house bricks etc).
Would just want to know if it's nothing serious and what can be done about it, help much appreciated.
