Pussycat

My cat is around 23 yrs old ( I had her in 1987 as a stray)and has hardly ever been to the vet but she is not too good at the moment.

She has a large swelling on the one side of her face which has suddenly appeared and she has been wetting on the floor instead of her tray.

Off to the vets in the morning. Hope its just an abscess and that they fix her up with anti biotics.


Her appetite is as strong as ever so that is a good sign!

hie bahco just phoned my daughter up she is a vet and I told her about your car and she says its probably a tooth abscess she cant really tell without seeing your cat she also says it could be allergic reaction to a bite but the vet should sort it for you. good luck

23 that is a fair old age for a cat , hope it go's ok , I have 2 cats , jones & squeak who moved in about 4 years ago ?? also have another stray that moved into our office about 4 years ago she is a bit of a spitfire when it comes to other cats & dogs

Muffin, our cat lived passed 20 years and although he was much loved he did annoy me at meal times when we had steak. So, to discourage him I used to put mustard on the piece I gave him.
I now take care of a staff that lets off really smelly farts. So, I have to sleep with the back door open. I'm not looking forward to the winter

It was an abscess and she has had to have 2 teeth removed. Doing well and currently on a drip. She may be able to come out later so have to ring at 5 to see.

She has had a scale and polish too as well as blood tests. The bill is looking like £230 .

She is worth every penny.

Women have come and gone but she has always been loyal and a good friend for 23yrs so will look after her.

Excellent news!.....my old cat is nearly 20, and has cost a lot less in vets fees since he gave up fighting!......get well soon puss!

Great news Bahco, if she comes home today, expect a 'groggy moggy', she will be ok after a nights sleep.
I hope she has a good few more years yet, she's obviously well cared for.
