Putting down a new floor - can anyone do it?

I want to cover up manky old laminate floorboards and was given a load of flooring on Facebook marketplace. I can't afford a new floor, so this is the best I can do. The slats apparently click in place next to each other. I've never done anything like this before - is it fairly straightforward? Do I need to glue them down or seal them? Thank you.

You need to sort them all out and stack them flat. You will then have to glue the edges together as a lot of the locking system will be damaged. You will need a flat sub floor to put them over as well.
