My garden back gate has rotted so have a new gate coming soon. It Dosent come with any hinges or anything, can I use the ones that are already on the gate? If so what size screws would I need?

The hinges below are the ones already attached to the frame so I don't want to take off, can I do this?

You can do this if you like, maybe galvanised hinges would be better?
A photo of the new gate would be good so we can see if the timber rails are the same.
The screw size and diameter really depends on the thickness of the new gate, but personally I'd go for screws that were 5mm in diameter.
One of the hinge holes could take a 6mm roofing bolt for extra strength / security.

Thank you for your reply
This is the new gate I'd be getting it's 45mm thickness

Thanks for the pic Jess!
I'd go for three Tee hinges - bigger the better really, and galvanised - and use 40 x 5 screws, with a drilled pilot hole first.
I do like to use the odd roofing screw, but I always over engineer things!
These particular ones aren't long enough, but 50mm or longer screws are available.
John :)
