Hi all

I am running some PVC conduit up a wall on top of the chased cables coming out of a consumer unit. As the cables are buried below I don't want to drill any holes to attach the saddles as the risk of hitting a cable below is too high.

Does anyone have any suggestions of any methods I could use to attach the saddles - is using adhesive acceptable?

Thanks in advance
Ben

I have seen it done before, no different to self adhesive trunking I suppose

Surely you won't need the saddles if using adhesive.
The tube would be hard against the wall without saddles!
@btjtaylor No More Nails or similar would do it. Personally I'd probably use a big bit of flat trunking (100x20 or similar) from the cu to the ceiling to allow for future but up to you.

You may be able to use self adhesive trunking INSTEAD.

Or, you could gently chip away at the plaster just below/above, and also to the sides, of where you want to drill, - and if it appears clear, then drill away.

And fill the holes with filler.

Or fit a long thin strip of wood the wall where you CAN drill to get fixings, and screw your saddles the wood.
