We are quoting a small job in Rugby to do some PVC 50mm pipe mods. Once done the system needs to be flushed and re-charged with glycol mix

are there any plumbers/pipefitters in this area interested in quoting this?

Let me know asap so I can send details but see attached pic for a brief outline.

Why aren`t you capable? you are gonna drain it. I suppose they will be left to recommission also?

Ah OK,
I have edited the post to clear the confusion
let me address that point. Finalising I mean the cost, start dates and time scale (although we are the only one's quoting so it's a shoe in but not a killing! ;)
So to be clear the system is still in the above stage up and running but has inherent faults which needs addressing

I am asking for plumbers pipe fitters etc quotes as we like to use those qualified to do jobs in which -although we could probably do- we usually sub out to avoid comebacks.(which doesn't always work either...:(

Hmmm, subbing last part of job normally means finding out monkeys before have effed up job and left it too poor engineer to sort making him look like a tool to customer and firm who has subbed it to him not answering phone. Why not advertise locally, you will be lucky to get hard quotes on here, you will be lucky if you find anyone to finish a job you started without arousing suspicion, are they external underground pumps?Block of flats? nursing home?

Thats what I was thinking.
Glycol means solar.
But how can PVC pipework withstand the heat generated by the collectors?

I'm picking up a job from some other poor bugger!. Basically we have been approached to inspect and advise to get this job a-ok. the pic is part of our recommendation. There is a small water chiller c/w pumpset.

No, glycol can also mean chillers and outdoor pipework.

Don't look too deep it's just a simple job, nothing nasty, well installed (2007) just needs a few mods to give 100% reliability that's all

I was being facetious, what has Glycol to do with Solar Heating?

Yes, you are farming a job out because you don`t have a clue, try the Screwfix Forum, you`ll meet plenty of clowns there.

I suggest you have absolutely no basis on which to make that assumption. However the good thing about you posting such drivel is that it helps the selection process, so whilst this job doesn't require too much brain cell capacity, I can safely say you don't seem to reach the minimum

Thanks for playing.
