So, I’ve seen similar topics and searched high and low and an answer but nothing specific to my question.
I’ve changed the multiport valve on my pool filter using the existing unions. The multiport is like for like part number replacement (although is slightly different in look and feel). Union from the outlet bottoms out however the inlet and drain does not(not bothered about the drain TBH). Fitting screws in just over half way (I’m not going to force it as PVC fittings). Photo attached.
It’s not leaking and everything works as it should. My question is, is this prone to pop out or fail (which would be extremely bad news). Pump runs 6 hours a day at 1.5bar of pressure. I’m inclined to leave it and say it’s fine. Your thoughts are very welcome.
Thanks in advance everyone.
