Hi, I'm Jack,
Can anyone tell me please, in a standard locking mechanism on a PVC window, is there a loose, small part,- other than the handle attachment, which is necessary for the mechanism to move, and if moved out of position, would make the handle turn, but unable to engage the locking mechanism?
I'm puzzled, cause that's what actually happened, when I unscrewed a perfectly good handle on a window. When I put the handle back in, it just lost connection with the locking mechanism
Any comments welcome
Cheers Jack

The handle has a square spindle which goes through the pvc into the mechamism, there should be a square hole in the mechanism for this spindle to slide into, first check the hole is still square, then make sure the handle is seated correctly and the spindle is actually going into the mechanism
