I'm up for being educated by you lot :)

As far as I can fathom things, the world operates a pyramidal system of finances - call it what you may (capitalism etc), but it still relies on the bottom layer having to scrabble around to find things to eat, make or trade. All subsequent layers feed off this to differing degrees of success (including those who act with benevolence as well as those who act through avarice).

If this is the case, then part of this setup obviously promotes the idea of wanting to climb up and get the best for oneself and those around them.

But the trouble is, and always will be the lower tiers who will always be oppressed and will thus be more likely to flare up out of anger or sheer desperation..

Is this a fair assessment of the way of the world?

Dextraneous, that seems reasonable but I don't think people are encouraged to climb but rather encouraged to keep in their place

How so? How can people scrabbling aound to find things to eat possibly contribute to wealth creation?

Is this a genuine attempt at defining cause and effect?

The lower tiers will not always flare up.
In some socio-political systems "the lower tiers" accept their place in society.

Like wobs, NO! Too many inaccurate assumptions.
