Have a vibration detector with a low battery have put in a brand new batteries (four times to make sure they are ok) the unit is working, all leds etc, however the panel is still saying low battery, no amount of messing will clear the code, anyone any ideas?

What have you done so far?

if the battery hasn’t registered, I would take battery out activate the tamper several times then put in the new battery and close unit up and activate.

How does it behave then!

ok, found it…….spent 2 nights changing batteries and generally threatening the panel with violence, the patio door contact has been on and of the door, it’s had four batteries, and all the time the PIR above my head was ****ing itself laughing, the labels in the panel are wrong so it wasn’t the kitchen contact, it was the kitchen PIR.

That is good you found the culprit and yes changing all the batteries makes sense especially if they have been in a few years as others will follow with low battery in due course.

It’s more common than you think to miss sensors for various reasons, usually because they have been hidden.
