Hi, hope this is okay to post here.

I have an old RJW wristwatch, the sun/moon sort. Many years ago, it stopped working despite the batteries having been changed. I took it to a shop and found that the price for quartz cleaning had jumped from £16 to £90.

Now, a former mate of mine had worked in H Samuel’s and said that it was just a matter of taking the back off and cleaning it with a cotton bud.

So I look it up on the net and all I can find are either cleaning of Quartz watches, or of the stone Quartz.

So I thought I’d come on here and hope that some lovely person can tell me how to do a Quartz clean.

OMG that guy doesn't have a clue. You push in the standard place, mate......
The clue is it's near where it has some letters

Whether an RJW is the same as that I have no idea. There are half a dozen ways to remove watch stem.
