Hi,

I recently had a quartz counter top fitted which is 20mm thick and the cut out is perfectly placed and sized however the screw in fitting that came with my tap (see photo) isn't long enough and doesn't come through the hole far enough to reach the thread on the tap.

Could anyone recommend any solutions please? I'd be very grateful.

Most reputable tap manufacturers will be able to supply you with a longer threaded fitting. If it's a B&Q special you'll have more of a problem

Many thanks. I called the manufacturer and they explained how to expose more of the thread and I'm going to have a go at fitting it today.

That centre threaded steel shank section unscrews out of the black threaded nut - attach the flexi's into the tap then screws that threaded shank into the bottom of the tap - then that whole section is put that through the hole and the black nut then tightens to the threaded shank underneath the worktop.
