I'm trying to figure out if the flame sensor electrode is what's causing a Ferroli Tempra 30 boiler to fire up briefly (2-3secs) but then shutdown and lockout until reset.
Everything else is calling for heat (external controls), overheat/safety thermostat, air pressure switch ok. Fan ok, pump ok.
If I disconnect the lead to the flame sensor, boiler will still fire up briefly but you can still hear the ignition operating once the flame has ignited - until boiler shuts down 2-3 secs later.
