Just wondering if anyone has any knowledge about this product.
http://www.safeguardeurope.com/products/stormdry-masonry-protection.
Friend has a very leaky conservatory joined to an old barn ( south Devon)
After testing the gutter that runs along the side of barn and conservatory with hose it seems that the pointing has failed.
Also the stone is a shaley type of slate which I have a feeling may be letting in water through its "shakes" ( can this happen?) .
just as guess really but feel that cement pointing may have damaged stones. gutter fine with hose but when directed at wall above the lead flashing lots of ingress behind gutter inside the conservatory.
so far best solution is to repoint with lime and possibly apply this stuff as an extra failsafe.
Any one have similar problem and best fix?
thanks
simon
