quick question regarding skirting fixings

Probably answered by woodulike as he seems to be on the ball.
Anyway, just removed skirting boards and aim to replace with new, its the compressed mdf type.
I have noticed that they were fixed in to the plasterboard with these long metal screw threaded type fixings, approx 4" long and i would say about 10mm thick, not got one to hand so its an estimate.
Went to BQ then a a builders merchant but no-one appears to know about them ?
Anyone know what they are called and how i can source some.

Sorry mate, can't help you here. We stay well away from skirtings boards, specially when installed in plasterboards ;)
Try the screw-fix website, they have lots of things for it.
