My cistern is fitted with what is called a "quiet fill" which is simply a clear plastic sheath which is connected to the top of the inlet valve via a plastic t piece.
When the cistern is filling water drips out of the other end of this t piece.
Could I fit another clear plastic sheath to the other side of the t piece so that you don't hear the water dripping out.
I take it that it is open to the atmosphere to prevent the water from being syphoned out of the cistern ?
