Are you copying the 'quote' tags from each post? And are you sure you are not pasting them inside other quote tags?

Eg To quote your first message followed by mine I would end up with the following code:

doesnt say to highlight it first then contro + c

and control and V to paste it

After the letter e type = and then " name of person" and then paste the quote plus click quote button again. :D
