Rad valve extension tails

They have "O" rings in the right hand part and that enables them to slid to the point required.

They always seem pretty loose and Micky Mouse but I have used them a few times without a problem.

Always prefer rigid pipework though.

Just wanting to use some kind of tail extension to avoid draining down

So the tail pushes in to the rad on this type? to shorten the extension

Yes slides in and out. I have used them once and they leaked after about a month or so.
dont bother, either get a solid extension or use a piece of chrome pipe into a chrome male iron to copper.

Yes they do sorry not the best at posting links but plumbcentre do them.

Thanks guessin the adjustable extension ones leaked from the part that slides in and out of the rad/tail?

As above, they nearly always start to leak before too long.

thanks I will stay away from the extension ones and use a ridged extension then

I need a 60mm one is the actual chrome bit without the thread on 60mm on the 60mm extension

The smooth, chrome bit is 60mm. If you trial fit your rad tail, inc. PTFE tape into your rad, then fit the valve to the pipe - whatever the gap is will be the dimension of rad extension needed.

However, in your case, I would fit a 30mm extension either end rather than a single 60mm one. Will look neater and less obvious than having a single, longer extension on only one end.
