Hi there I have been having a few probs with my new towel rad. :( So far I have tried bleading the rads in my house, balancing the rads and leaving on just the problem rad in the bathroom. Which still only heats up when it is bleading???. Thanks in advance for any tips or advice

Yes there was sorry should have said there was a very small 400x400 rad there working perfectly. Just it was rusty in places hence the change. The new rad is slighty bigger 700x400 whould that be a problem?

Some towel rails need to have the flow to a certain side, read the instructions to verify this. Also make sure both valves are open properly.

towel rad didnt come with any instructions for plumbing in only fitting to wall :( . The valves are open but I am not sure which side feeds the rad??? But the rad and surrounding pipes are getting red hot when the rad is being blead

Does it stay hot once bled?

Do you have a sealed system (filling loop to add water) or tank and ball valve?

Is the top of the towel rail higher than the water level in your tank ?(if applicable)

Nope it goes cold after 1/2 hrs even though the rest of the rads are still on. The towel rad is in the downstairs bathroom. My hot water tank is in my bedroom hope that helps

You have no circulation. Could be blockage in one of the 2 pipes, air, faulty valve, packaging stuck in new radiator etc

You could turn off both valves, remove radiator, open valves and check you have a good flow of water (into bucket or similar) coming from both flow and return pipe. Whilst it's off check for physical obstructions in radiator tails etc.

re-fit and retest

thanks once again sam I took the rad off flushed it tested it. The rad now works a treat cheers
