Radiator air vent size

I need to replace several radiator air vents because the nipple has broke off in place.
I've found that most suppliers offer a standard size radiator air vent, which is too big for my radiators (fits a 14mm socket rather than 11mm socket)
The system was installed in 2007, and I have little knowledge of CH so I'm wondering if there is now a standard air vent size for modern radiators.
I want to check if there is a way of obtaining the size of air vent I need before I consider replacing the radiators

1/2 inch BSP is the standard size.

ok thanks, looking at the existing air vents they are really small, if I measure the threads they would appear to be 1/16" and the smallest available that I can find on the net is 1/8"

I think you're talking about just the small nipple bit that you put the vent key on. You will probably need to change the whole vent.

The 1/4" air vent appears readily available from suppliers, as does 1/2", but all my radiators take the much smaller air vent pictured here

There are 1/8th bleed nipples/plugs on ebay.

Send the pic to Myson radiators and they'll probably send you a couple with compliments

Thanks for the advice, Myson did indeed send me 4 air vents, very kind of them to do so.

I still don't know what I would ask for if I ever needed to buy them, I guess that they arent a BSP size, they are smaller than 1/8" which seem to be the smallest that are readily available.

Myson are really helpful, they will send a handful out but also sell trade bags of 20
