Hi, I\\\'ve just fitted a AGL Towel Rail in place of the existing Rad in my bathroom using a new Drayton TRV4. The problem I have is that where the valve connector goes into the Towel Rail will not seal! I have removed and refitted 6 times using various quantities of PTFE tape and Green Boss but every time there is a slight leak. The thread appears good on both the connector and towel rail, and it hasn\\\'t been cross threaded! It looks to be a tapered thead (can anyone confirm this) so \\\'ought\\\' to seal when tightened. Any suggestions for my next attempt? Thanks in advance

Most towel radiators are badly designed and often have only a few threads, getting them watertight is a common problem. :(

Wind the PTFE to form a taper, in this way as the tail is screwed in the PTFE will form a "washer" as it backs up on the thread. Don't go too mad tightening it up as you may strip the threads.
