We have had our bathroom & toilet renovated and the plumber had installed both radiators to the hot water system instead of the central heating system. Other than the fact that we had to turn on the hot water to get heating in winter, is there any other problem with this?

I expect your plumber just copied what was there before.

As long as its connected to the heating circuit and not the actual hot water then its not such a big problem.

It was quite popular about 30 years ago because it gave warm rads to heat towels during the summer.

Now that hot water is pumnped and reheats in minutes not hours it usually means that the areas served are not adequately heated until AFTER you have had your bath or shower. And then only for 20 minutes!

You get what you pay for! A nupty plumber, from overseas?, and he will not explain the difference to you.

The problem with this is that it is wasteful as well as that you don't have it when you need it.
It comes on, whether you need it or not, but unless you turn the dhw on, needed or not, you have a cold bathroom.
The job is done, you will have to live with it, and it is not the end of the world.

Yep. We had this in our house, built 20 years ago by a bloke with his own special ideas about how to do things. As somebody wrote above it meant that the bathroom rad came on after you ran your bath. I have just re-plumbed the bathroom rad into the CH circuit, actually a towel rail with electric supplementary element.
