I need a 700mm wide by 600 high single panel rad to replace an existing. But I also need to be able to see the measurement for how far it will be from wall as I cant move the pipes (concrete floor. valve centre is about 45mm from wall). I have found one but its from a company i've bought from before and that one was very tinny and you could see rivet/weld marks under the paint. I dont recall that make but the one on their site is by REVIVE. £27.29 inc vat

What are the good makes? nothing fancy but well built?

Also if facing a rad which way would it be to undo the right hand valve connected to the rad? I tried to undo and it was stuck. I then started a leak from pipe nut. There's LX on it so not the first time I assume. very wary of putting pressure on the pipe. i did have an adjustable on that as well.

The kudox rads are perfectly adequate.

The pipes should still have a small ammount of movement even in concrete,

You can buy any like for like rad and be able to install it within a mm or 2 of the existing rad

Rubbish. Always use main brands, they will have all dimension drawings to the mm.
whatever you do , DONT leave it to guess work you certainly do not want to be bending/moving pipes about in concrete,
All brands are different. Research not guesswork!!

2 replies 1 saying kudos good 1 saying rubbish.
What are the nain brands?

this is the one i was looking at but as i said i have bought from them before and the quality was poor. As is their service

I’m not saying kudox are rubbish, just the guessing the measurements & bending pipes about in concrete to suit is rubbish. Do 10 minutes of research & fit the correct product.

Rads are standardized size, there may be 1 or 2mm of difference, which is perfectly acceptable to bend.

The only but that's not standardized Is the bracket locations.

The reason they are standard size is for homeowners looking for replacements

Their own brand rads are revive, and that's all they sell, and they are crap

Kudox, stelrad, permo, henrad, pro rad countless other brands are all good.
