radiator noise

Hi you experts,
Can you help get my wife off my back? We have a couple of radiators which are giving off "expansion" and "contraction" noises as they heat up and cool down. Can these noises be eliminated, and how?

Try putting some plastic on the mounting bracket hooks to lubricate the movement. Means taking rads off.

We had this problem and it wasnt the rads it was the pipework under the floor just below rads.The pipework was against the flooring joists so just lift the floor boards and put some lagging between the pipes and the joists and those noises are banished forever .
