Hi, we are having problems after removing and refitting the lounge radiator after decorating. We have moved recently and have been used to the old style gravity type central heating system and there was no issues with taking off and replacing radiators.
In our new house we have a Worcester Greenstar CDi combi-boiler and radiators with TRV's thermostat valves.
We refitted the radiator after painting while the boiler was off and tried to refill the radiator by opening the left valve and right TRV valve, BUT the radiator didn't seem to fill up properly. Only some air coming out the bleed valve and then it stopped emitting air.
We thought we might need to turn the boiler on to get water moving, but then read out on the front alarmingly rose from 65ish to 97! whatever that means.
Should we have turned the boiler power completely off rather than just the off position on the controller?
Help we dare not turn it on again and we have kids to heat and bathe etc.
Please help.
