I need to lay new waste pipe through a concrete floor but am worried about the central heating pipes run across the channel run (damaging them when breaking through the concrete). Any advice or comments?
You could try using a electronic pipe detector, but be aware that many versions don't detect pipes buried more than 1" from the surface.
My advise would be to not proceed if you are unsure of where the pipes are. Repairing pipes with each end locked into the screed is not at all easy for many reasons. Going careful with a jack hammer often doesn't work either. I was hammering out a flow and return once, only then to hit an unknown gas pipe nearby!!
