Radiator Problem

I have a problem with 1 of my radiators, it is the first after the boiler, once heating is on, the radiator makes a whining( banging) noise for about 30 seconds and then goes, but can start making the noise again within in about 15 mins. But if you turn the radiator control off it doesn't do it, i have bled this rad but still the noise is there.

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT!

Does the radiator have a thermostatic valve on it?

put your hands on the pipe which end gets hot first, the thermostatic end or the other, then look for a little arrow on the body, pointing towards the rad, that end should be getting hot first.
