Hi all
I need to remove a radiator for decorating.
It is the bottom radiator of a pressurised (combi boiler).
It has a trv on the left and the standard valve on the right. also on the right is a drain valve ( that doesnt seem to work) (another rad in the next room also has a drain valve)
I have read various posts but just want to confirm that my plans are correct:
I was intending to:
switch off the boiler
shut both valves on the radiator (manually tighten the trv
Do i need to shut off all the valves on the other rads?
drain the radiator by loosening off one valve
does it matter which one is first?
loosen bleed valve
loosen off the other valve
tilt and drain rad
check valves for leaks
cap if required
switch boiler back on and check pressure
Does that sound right?
The only thing I am really unsure of is if I need to turn off all the other rad valves.
Thanks in advance
