Previous to the installation of a combi system, radiator removal was no problem. However, after Worcester combi boiIer was installed about a year ago, I now need to remove a rad for some plastering to be done on the wall behind. After shutttting down both valves(one is thermostatic), draining the rad and removing, there is a sudden rush of water out of the thermostatic end when domestic hot water is drawn. This stops as soon as DHW tap is turned off. Leakage takes place even after removing the top assembly of the thermostatic valve and screwing down the underlying brass hex nuts.
Is a blanking cap the only answer to this, or am I missing something on the boiler controls or pipework? Obviously the rad will be off for some time to give plaster time to dry out naturally.
Any help appreciated.

The trv is faulty as when screwed down it should not let any water pass.. So blanking cap for time being and change trv when you put rad back on
