My wife insisted on these bronze radiator valves which comes with tails that are slightly longer than the standard valves you get from the likes of Screwfix
You can see the comparison in the image.
Screwing the valve in without PTFE tape seems snug, it doesn’t rattle but I don’t want to keep going past what seems ‘tight’ as I’m concerned it’s going to damage the rad if I keep tightening the tail.
Assuming it will be ok? I will use PTFE tape obviously but it’s hand tight at the moment using a radiator spanner and three threads on the tail are still showing either end because the thread is slightly longer
