I have replaced a thermostat radiator valve in my bedroom (old one's pin was stuck down) - i used the same olive and nut as they were stiff on and put boss green over old olives). have refilled system now again and there is a small dribble (nothing much but it is there) from the valve nut connection to the copper pipe. will this stop over time and seal itself?can i seal it with a sutiable sealant as draining down again will cost me another inhibitor and will take a while to drain and fill again.. my own fault i know.

if you cant turn it anymore id drain and put the correct nut and olive on, sometimes on old pipes people over tighten them and squash the pipe so may need to cut a bit and replace

Have tried tightening furhter but still the same, if anything a bit more. It's not a pour, just a slow dribble and is annoying! You can't even see it by eye without feelin the valve nut/pipe or getting close down to it.

Can i seal it without draining down?

personally id drain and take a look, like i said before the pipe could be damaged, occasionally the old nuts and olives dont fit new valves very well, good example of this is the braided hoses you buy, they never seem to fit old nuts and olives

i see now, in future i will always change the olive (and nut)!!

am gonna have to drain down then i suppose
