I have removed my radiator & in doing so the valve connected to the copper pipe is leaking after. I have tried to tighten the nut which has the olive inside & it still leaks. Can anybody please provide any solution to stop the leak. Thanks.
Drain it (or freeze it), undo the nut, wrap ptfe tape round the olive a few times, and have another go. Or, Safer, cut the top 2" off the pipe, and join a new bit on. Opportunity to add a drain cock, perhaps.
This problem often happens when people do up the rad union without holding the valve still with another spanner.
