Radiator Valves

I am trying to remove the radiators in a bedroom prior to decorating. On one of the older radiators is a weird radiator valve. The valve has both pipes going into it using a twin valve. To the left of the radiator valve is the usual control knob and there is a small dome above the pipe just to the right of it.
Can you tell me how to remove the radiator?
