I'm replacing 3 of my rads - 2 because I want vertical or corner ones, and the 3rd because I want it to match the styling of the vertical ones.

Are expensive makes (e.g. Bisque, Vasco) any better than mid-price ones (e.g. Acova), or run-of-the-mill ones like Myson & Stelrad? Or does the extra price just pay for expensive brochures, and up-market retailer margins?

I know that the styling and finish of the pricey ones is probably better, and I know that the styling of some of the pricey ones is fabulous, but is there anything under the skin to be concerned about, or are they all just the same?

Have you looked at Vogel & Noot? The connections are made to the radiator top to bottom diagonal, though all you have to do is get the connections to the bottom centre (other variants available). This allows better use of the radiator area, (and a consequently smaller radiator for any given output)

Everthing is craap, some craap is just better than other craap, pays your money and takes your choice :!:
