When radiators are fitted within timber boxing, does it matter if the TRV is 'inside' the boxing too? If there is a bit of an opening in the boxing for the TRV to sense the temp.?
Well actually a radiator is in fact incorrectly named as it doesn't so much radiate heat but relies on convection.
Pointless boxing in a radiator, cos it won`t radiate any heat will it ? that`s why it`s called a radiator.
Dont think that can be true, the heat has to go somewhere. What iIt's a horribly inefficient way of doing things, boxing in your rads will cost you a huge amount in heating bills. Having said that, if you don't mind throwing money around then you could always invest in these, which will deal with the problem of having the TRV inside the boxing by moving the sensor outside it adjuster-p-146.html
