Hi all,
We have a traditional old fashioned set up, conventional gravity fed boiler with hot water cylinder upstairs and F&E tank in loft.
The only connection therefore from the mains fed cold water is the ballcock into the F&E tank.
So I'm wondering why whenever cold water demand is on (any cold water tap, dishwasher, washing machine etc), 1 or 2 radiators in the house make a very loud "sssssss" noise. Particularly the one in my youngest sons room which is really freaking him out when he's trying to go to sleep.
My only guess is that a cold water pipe is touching a radiator circuit pipe somewhere under the floor and transferring the noise?
