You'd have to ban all faith schools then, and that will never happen.

Having taught in different types of school and observed the end product, imho faith schools win hands down. It's what message you're trying to inculcate that is the key, and that of wanting to contribute towards a positive, accepting and inclusive world without the need to smite each other in the pursuit of this seems a fundamentally obvious thing to do.

You're quite right, Dex.

Look at the records and reports. Christian schools seem to come out quite well in the success stakes. I believe Jewish schools do well too.

I think we all know the particular faith schools that are the n's in the woodpile.

Anyone with any logical thought would say that we should get rid of the ones that don't work and keep those that do. It was a similar situation with grammar schools and, very belatedly, people are beginning to realise their mistake.

Naturally we agree :) The thing about our brethren who practise the seven pillars is one of our own making. Having suppressed them for a millennium and a bit and raping their resources for own needs over the last couple of centuries, it can surely be of no surprise that they now wish to return the favour and level the playing field. Only a fool couldn't predict their wrath, and we have been very foolish.

Yes, of course it's all our fault. I can see that now.

Indeed it is. So we really need to find a different and imaginative way to calm the lion which we've been poking with a stick for a fair old while now. Just pointing the finger and saying fook off you backward ******* really ain't going to help.

Banning radical Islamists from working unsupervised with children

So have another silent ******* stood in the room?

The do gooder isn't going to report it.

I don't suppose it would ever happen, but what about having CCTV in every classroom? No, I'm sure the ubiquitous phrase 'yooman rites' would come into it somewhere.

As a matter of interest, when I was teaching I would have welcomed CCTV in my classroom - for MY protection.
