Rads downstairs cold

All upstairs heating is fine

Hot water in the house is fine

Hi Oilman,
I have exactly the same problem, upstairs rads hot, downstairs cold.

- I have a Gas fired heating system(Mains)
- Potterton Boiler
- yes, I have a hot water tank in the loft
- 20 Gallon
- Cold water tank is also 20 gallon

-- the water pressure is at 1.75bar, I have hot water.
when the system is on, it fires for 3-4 minutes shuts off for same and fires again.
With the time of year that in it I would appreciate any help or advise as I can't get a Plumber to come and look at it until after Christams.

Hi chrishildreth, as you can see from my earlier mail, I had a very similar problem as you are describing.
Replacing the hydraulic valve in my boiler (Done by a pro) seems to have solved the problem.

Not sure if this will help you, but thought I'd let you know anyway.
