I wish to store quite a lot of paper artefacts, drawings and books in the loft of my house. To try to make the loft environment less extreme, I've thrown out the previously installed joist rockwool in favour of a rafter insulation. I have seen rockwool slabs, foil-backed bubblewrap, and polystyrene slabs, but have been unable to find any recommendations, apart from what is written on the packaging. Does anyone have any other solutions, or information/preferences related to the above products? I'm not looking for miracles, and the budget is quite tight!
