Semi detached house on a slope, so steps up to nextdoor's garden. Instead of the retaining wall being at the border, it's actually set over onto our side of the border and acts as a raised bed. The raised bed has been butted right up against the house wall.

I've dug down to remove all the soil and old concrete etc from the old fence. Created a gap as big as I can. This goes one brick below the damp course.

The soil from the next door and the raised bed are largely unsupported and I want to put something into help stop it filling back up etc. Needs to keep a good space between the house wall and it's already a tight space.

Just wondered what more experienced people might do for this...?

I've attached some photos. The downpipe drains only the flat roof covering a small bay window. I'm going to redirect this away from that area.

Where's the DPC? Is it stepped at the boundary? You don't want soil anywhere near it, wherever it is.

Looks like the neighbour may have increased their soil level beyond what was intended, if so they have an issue. Theirs, not yours.

If there's a damp issue then that downpipe will be a factor. Is some drainage work being done? Would be better coupled into a pipe rather than spewing into the air.
