I've just moved into a new house and am looking to decorate my daughters bedroom. The ceiling in her room has been papered and the majority of it has a good finish. The problem is that there are some raised lines/bumps in it, i guess where the joists or something are. They are hard to the touch. What is the best/easiest way for me to sort this out, don't really want to have to do the whole ceiling. Also, was wondering if you could artex or texture paint straight onto ceiling paper or whether it needs to be stripped first? Would appreciate any advice as i am a complete novice when it comes to DIY but want the best for my little girls room.
Thanks
