raising roof height.

In a few months time I am hoping to raise the height of the rear roof by 900mm internally, height now inside is 1200mm,
walls are 9 inch solid, cottage age is about 1870,
question is, are building control going to want to see the footings.

I can't see why they would need to.

But you may get the new kid just out of Uni.
