I am looking for suggestions of techniques or tools for removing old and perished bubble/flipper gasket from the narrow slot.

Where the old gasket material has gone very non-flexible (mostly along the bottom edge), I have found that the barbed section just tears or snaps where it joins the bubble section, leaving it stranded in the slot.

It also seems the original gasket was glued at butt joints and where the gasket was dressed around the corners. Any additional suggestions here would be welcome too.

Is there a particular raking tool for this??

So far elbow grease and a not-too-sharp knife gets most but not all of it out, 'speshially where the glue confounds the problem, so this approach is quite time consuming.

For dimensional info - I am replacing the old stuff with R6160.

Many Thanks!
