Called out last week to a holiday cottage where the lighting rewireable fuse keeps popping.
On testing, found the L to E insulation resistance to be practically nothing.
Also found the shiny the new CU (no RCD's) had been relocated from it's old location, extending all the VIR cables to it! Thought it looked odd.
Now carrying out a full rewire while the property is empty between now and christmas.
First floor board lifted today?
I wonder which one caused the fault!
