rattling boiler

I've got a Potterton Suprima 40 boiler that has the habit of making rattling type noises - similar to a football rattle being turned slowly !

I need some advice on what the problem might be. I was thinking that the heat exchanger should be descaled perhaps ?

Can anyone provide advice please.

Also known as kettle noises,try looking at www.fernox.com for restorers which is for cleaning then add protectors for protection against corrosion & scale.Also before applying any chemical treatment, it is always advisable to seek the advice of the boiler manufacturer as it may affect the boiler heat exchanger.
