I have just brought a house (converted village store) with a old Rayburn solid fuel Hot water and Central heating system.
I have a problem that I have the heating working fine but it doesnt heat the Hot Water Cylinder, I may add this is in the loft.
If i turn the central heating pump off it heats the Inlet pipe and to the Water Cylinder, and there return is warm so the exchange of heat is working fine.
But as soon as i turn on the pump the hot water feed to the water cylinder looses it heat.
QUESTION: is the pump in the wrong place. I have balanced the radiators that are on the system and they are working just fine.
Any question please that you need to know just ask away ........ hope you can help.
Regards
